Oh well... It's baseball

Something I find interesting about baseball is it seems that every team is going to win 60 games and lose 60 games. It's the 42 other games that make the difference. That was shown last night as the Phils got trounced by the winless Nationals. I had a feeling this would happen because the Nationals need to get their 60 wins somehow even if the other 42 are losses. I think it is unique to baseball that good teams will get beaten by bad teams all the time. So many factors decide a baseball game and if some of them aren't clicking for one team or are clicking for another, that will decide the game. Usually, the right factors will be in favor of the better team. But on nights like last night, things just work out for the worse team. If you're a big football fan, this can be very tough to deal with. If you're a college sports fan, this can be even tougher to deal with. It is hard for me to go from college football and basketball into baseball season and get in that right mindset. Although I'm not happy about the loss last night, it'll help me prepare for a long season of losing to teams we should beat. The good news is, we'll still win much more than we lose to them.
